Major Flood Warning For The Balonne And Moderate Flood Warning For The Lower Maranoa River

Major flood levels at St George on the Balonne River will continue easing into the weekend.
Major flooding will continue to rise downstream of St George over the next few days.
No significant rainfall is expected over the next few days.
Balonne River to Surat:
Major flood levels are easing slowly along the Balonne River to Surat. Minor flood levels are easing in Yuleba Creek.
The Balonne River at Warkon was at 9.03 metres at 9 am Friday and falling.
The Balonne River at Warkon is likely to fall below the major flood level (9.00 m) during Friday and will continue easing slowly over the weekend.
The Balonne River at Surat is currently at 9.38 metres and falling.
Small renewed rises are expected as upstream floodwater arrives, with the river level likely to remain above the major flood level (9.00 m) into the weekend.
Bungil Creek:
River levels along Bungil Creek at Garrabarra will continue to fall over the next few days.
Balonne River downstream of Surat to Beardmore Dam:
Moderate to major flooding continues along the Balonne River downstream of Surat to Beardmore Dam. Minor flood levels were steady on Muckadilla Creek at Karoola Park on Friday morning.
The Balonne River at Warroo is currently at 11.70 metres and falling, with moderate flooding.
Small renewed rises close to the major flood level (12.00 m) are likely during Saturday, with levels likely to remain around this level for the rest of the weekend.
Maranoa River:
Moderate flood levels continue to ease slowly on the lower Maranoa River at Old Cashmere.
Balonne River downstream of Beardmore Dam:
The major flood peak is now downstream of St George.
The Balonne River at St George was at 11.24 metres and falling late Friday morning, with major flooding.
River levels are likely to remain above the level of the Andrew Nixon Bridge (10.70 m) until at least early Saturday. The river level is expected to fall below the major flood level (10.00 m) during Sunday.
The Balonne River Minor at Dirranbandi was at 5.00 metres and rising on Thursday morning, with major flooding.
On Friday afternoon, the river level is expected to be rising, with a peak around 5.20 metres likely Saturday night at the level of the Balonne Minor Bridge.
River level observations are not available for the Bokhara River at Hebel, but river levels are likely to be above the minor flood level (1.0 m) and rising slowly.
The Bokhara River at Hebel may reach the moderate flood level (1.50 m) over the weekend or early next week.

Major Flood Warning For The Barcoo River And Minor Flood Warning For The Cooper Creek

Major flooding is possible overnight Friday at Isisford on the Barcoo River, whilst renewed rises and Minor flooding is occurring again at Blackall. Minor flooding on the Cooper Creek at Windorah will continue through the weekend.
No significant rainfall is forecast over the weekend.
Thomson River:
Small river level rises are occurring in the upper parts of the Thomson River catchment following rainfall recorded a few days ago. River levels downstream of Longreach through to Jundah remain below minor and continue to slowly ease.
The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 1.68 metres (below minor) and steady.
There are no observations for the Stonehenge manual gauge. However based on the automatic gauge river levels should be below minor and falling.
The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 2.35 metres (below minor) and steady.
Barcoo River to Isisford:
Small rises and minor flooding is occurring along the upper Barcoo River through to Blackall during Friday. Minor to Moderate flood levels are occurring between Coolagh and Isisford.
River height observations are not available for the manual station at Blackall. However, based on the automatic gauge minor flood levels (above 2.9 metres) are rising during Friday.
The Barcoo River at Blackall is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) going into the weekend as upstream floodwaters continue to arrive.
The Barcoo River at Isisford is currently at 5.87 metres (moderate flood) and rising.
The Barcoo River at Isisford may reach the major flood level (6.00 m) overnight Friday into Saturday.
Barcoo River downstream of Isisford:
Minor flood levels are slowly rising at Wahroongha during Friday as upstream floodwaters arrive from the upper Barcoo River.
River height observations are not available for the manual station at Retreat. However, based on the automatic gauge river levels are expected to be below the minor flood level (3.0 metres).
The Barcoo River at Retreat is likely to remain below the minor flood level (3.00 m) through the weekend.
Cooper Creek:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Cooper Creek.

Minor flooding is occurring across the headwaters of the upper Dawson River with a flood peak between Taroom and Theodore.
The Dawson River at Taroom is currently at 5.19 metres and rising.
The river level at Taroom is likely to remain above the minor flood level (4.50 m) during Friday.
The Dawson River at Theodore is currently at 8.82 metres and rising slowly.
The Dawson River at Theodore is expected to remain above the minor flood level (8.00 m) during Friday. The river level may peak near 8.9 metres overnight Friday into Saturday.
Dawson River downstream of Theodore:
Minor flooding is expected along the Dawson River downstream of Theodore.
The Dawson River at Moura is currently at 6.10 metres and rising.
The river level at Moura is expected to remain above the minor flood level (6.00 m) during Friday.
No observations are available at the Baralaba manual gauge but the river level is expected to be around the minor flood level (4.0 metres) and rising based on the nearby automatic gauge.
The Dawson River at Baralaba is expected to remain above the minor flood level (4.00 m) during Friday and continue to rise over the next few days.
Connors and Isaac Rivers:
Moderate flood levels are continuing to ease on the Connors and Isaac Rivers.
The Isaac River at Yatton peaked at 12.20 metres around 01:00 pm Thursday 27 February and is currently at 11.31 metres and falling.
The river level at Yatton will remain above the moderate flood level (9.50 m) during Friday. The river level is likely to fall below the moderate flood level (9.50 m) Saturday.
Mackenzie River:
Small river level rises are occurring in the lower Mackenzie River around Tartrus during Friday.
The Mackenzie River at Tartrus is currently at 7.81 metres and steady.
The Mackenzie River at Tartrus is expected to remain below the minor flood level (11.00 m) going into the weekend.
Fitzroy River:
Small river rises are occurring along the Fitzroy River below the junction of the Dawson and Mackenzie Rivers.

Major Flood Warning For The Warrego River Downstream Of Charleville (Qld)

Major flood levels on the lower Warrego River are currently in the Wallen area on Friday morning, with major flooding expected further downstream at Cunnamulla Bridge during Friday. Major flood levels will develop downstream to the New South Wales border later in the weekend or early next week.
No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.
Warrego River to Charleville:
Minor flood levels continue to slowly ease during Friday along the upper Warrego River upstream of Charleville between Biddenham and the 27 Mile Garden.
The Warrego River at Augathella will remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m) overnight Friday into Saturday.
The Warrego River at Charleville is currently at 2.62 metres (below minor) and falling.

Langlo and Ward Rivers:
Moderate flood levels continue to slowly ease along the Langlo and Ward Rivers during Friday morning, with levels at Warilda expected to remain high going into the weekend as upstream floodwaters continue to arrive.
Warrego River downstream of Charleville:
The major flood peak remains in the Wallen area during Friday morning. Major flood levels are expected further downstream at Cunnamulla Bridge during Friday.
The Warrego River at Bakers Bend is currently at 7.91 metres (moderate flood) and falling.
The Warrego River at Bakers Bend is expected to fall below the moderate flood level (7.00 m) during Saturday.
The Warrego River at Wyandra peaked at 8.85 metres around 11:00 am Thursday 27 February and is currently at 8.67 metres (moderate flood) and steady.
The Warrego River at Wyandra is likely to fall below the moderate flood level (8.00 m) Saturday afternoon.
The Warrego River at Cunnamulla Bridge is currently at 7.30 metres (moderate flood) and rising.
The Warrego River at Cunnamulla Bridge is expected to exceed the major flood level (8.00 m) late Friday morning. The river level is expected to peak between 9.40 and 9.70 metres late Saturday afternoon.
The river level observations are not available for the Warrego River at Rocky, however river levels at this stage are expected to be below the minor flood level (2.50 m) and rising.
The Warrego River at Rocky is likely to exceed the minor flood level (2.50 m) late Friday.
