Major Flood Warning For Eyre Creek

Moderate flood levels are continuing on Eyre Creek.
No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days but showers and thunderstorms are possible.
Georgina River to Marion Downs:
Flood waters have receded on the Georgina River at Marion Downs.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs peaked at 5.65 metres around 09:00 am Monday 10 February and is currently at 2.80 metres (below minor) and falling fast.
The river level at Marion Downs is expect to remain below the minor flood level (3.00 m).
Eyre Creek:
Major flooding may occur along Eyre Creek.
Moderate flood levels on Eyre Creek at Bedourie was at 4.26 metres at 09:00 am Thursday and rising slowly.
Eyre Creek at Bedourie is expected to remain above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) at least until next week. The river level may exceed the level of the bridge at Bedourie (4.4 m) over the next few days.
The Eyre Creek at Glengyle is currently at 3.12 metres and rising.
The creek level on Eyre Creek at Glengyle will continue to rise and may reach the bridge level (3.30 m) over the weekend. The river level at may reach the major flood level (4.00 m)
