Major Flood Warning For The Barcoo River And Minor Flood Warning For The Cooper Creek

Major flooding is possible overnight Friday at Isisford on the Barcoo River, whilst renewed rises and Minor flooding is occurring again at Blackall. Minor flooding on the Cooper Creek at Windorah will continue through the weekend.
No significant rainfall is forecast over the weekend.

Thomson River:
Small river level rises are occurring in the upper parts of the Thomson River catchment following rainfall recorded a few days ago. River levels downstream of Longreach through to Jundah remain below minor and continue to slowly ease.
The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 1.68 metres (below minor) and steady.

There are no observations for the Stonehenge manual gauge. However based on the automatic gauge river levels should be below minor and falling.

The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 2.35 metres (below minor) and steady.

Barcoo River to Isisford:
Small rises and minor flooding is occurring along the upper Barcoo River through to Blackall during Friday. Minor to Moderate flood levels are occurring between Coolagh and Isisford.
River height observations are not available for the manual station at Blackall. However, based on the automatic gauge minor flood levels (above 2.9 metres) are rising during Friday.
The Barcoo River at Blackall is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) going into the weekend as upstream floodwaters continue to arrive.

The Barcoo River at Isisford is currently at 5.87 metres (moderate flood) and rising.
The Barcoo River at Isisford may reach the major flood level (6.00 m) overnight Friday into Saturday.

Barcoo River downstream of Isisford:
Minor flood levels are slowly rising at Wahroongha during Friday as upstream floodwaters arrive from the upper Barcoo River.
River height observations are not available for the manual station at Retreat. However, based on the automatic gauge river levels are expected to be below the minor flood level (3.0 metres).
The Barcoo River at Retreat is likely to remain below the minor flood level (3.00 m) through the weekend.

Cooper Creek:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Cooper Creek.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah (Long Crossing) is currently at 3.51 metres (minor flood) and steady.
Minor flooding is expected to continue on the Cooper Creek at Windorah (Long Crossing) over the weekend.

Major Flood Warning For The Paroo River (Qld)

Major flooding is possible along the Paroo River around Eulo during the weekend.
No significant rainfall has been recorded since last weekend. No significant rainfall is forecast over the weekend.

Paroo River to Eulo:
Moderate flood levels are rising at Eulo as upstream floodwaters continue to arrive.
The Paroo River at Eulo is currently at 3.37 metres (moderate flood) and rising.
A flood peak around the major flood level (4.0 metres) is expected in the Paroo River at Eulo during this weekend.

Paroo River downstream of Eulo:
Minor flood levels are rising in the Caiwarro area during Friday.
No observations are currently available at Hungerford manual gauge, however levels are expected to be below the minor flood level (1.00 metre).
Renewed river level rises to the minor flood level (1.00 m) are possible on the Paroo River at Hungerford later in the weekend. Higher levels are expected during next week as floodwaters continue to arrive. More detailed predictions will be made once upstream peaks have been recorded.

Major Flood Warning For Eyre Creek

Moderate flood levels are continuing on Eyre Creek.
No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days but showers and thunderstorms are possible.

Georgina River to Marion Downs:
Flood waters have receded on the Georgina River at Marion Downs.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs peaked at 5.65 metres around 09:00 am Monday 10 February and is currently at 2.80 metres (below minor) and falling fast.
The river level at Marion Downs is expect to remain below the minor flood level (3.00 m).

Eyre Creek:
Major flooding may occur along Eyre Creek.
Moderate flood levels on Eyre Creek at Bedourie was at 4.26 metres at 09:00 am Thursday and rising slowly.
Eyre Creek at Bedourie is expected to remain above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) at least until next week. The river level may exceed the level of the bridge at Bedourie (4.4 m) over the next few days.

The Eyre Creek at Glengyle is currently at 3.12 metres and rising.
The creek level on Eyre Creek at Glengyle will continue to rise and may reach the bridge level (3.30 m) over the weekend. The river level at may reach the major flood level (4.00 m)

Moderate Flood Warning For The Bulloo River

Moderate flooding is occurring at Quilpie. River level rises are expected downstream into the coming weekend.
No significant rainfall is forecast over the weekend.

Bulloo River to Quilpie:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Bulloo River to Quilpie.
The Bulloo River at Quilpie is currently at 4.59 metres and rising. The river will stay around the bridge level 4.6m during Friday with further small rises during the weekend.
The Bulloo River at Quilpie is expected to remain above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) during Friday and through the weekend.

Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie:
Minor flooding is occuring along the Bulloo River downstream of Quilpie.
At 11:50am on Friday, the Bulloo River at Thargomindah was 3.16 metres and rising.
The river level at Thargomindah may reach the minor flood level (4.00 m) over the weekend and into next week, with further rises to moderate flood level during next week.

Minor Flood Warning For The Diamantina River

River levels at Birdsville may exceed minor flood levels late in the weekend or early next week.
No significant rainfall is forecast during the weekend.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
River levels may exceed the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway late Friday or early in the weekend.
Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
The flood peak is currently between Roseberth and Birdsville.
No observations are available for Birdsville manual gauge, however the DEWNR automatic gauge shows floodwaters have reached the Birdsville area (below minor) with river levels rising very slowly.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville may exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) late in the weekend or early next week.
